I cannot recall a specific time or place, but I learned to forget you. It was somewhere in between the phone calls I never received, the places I never saw you, or the voice I can no longer recall. I was trapped, for the longest time, with the hope that we would be together again. Your silence once left me with a vacant heart and a hollow head, but I have taken a deep breath. It feels incredible to breathe again.
