This past weekend I went back to Bethlehem, PA for my first ~*~*LEHIGH YOUNG ALUMNI REUNION~*~ after I graduated this past May. (ALSO: Hi new followers—hope that past sentence caught you up with everything going on in my life!!) I’ve been looking forward to it since… I’m not even going to lie, August. I think?
But, more so it’s because most of my college friends are all dispersed everywhere. And it was really weird adjusting to NOT being able to just walk downstairs and see my friends sitting in the living room watching Dexter… or NOT being able to walk across the street to a party my friends were having… or NOT being able to just lay around and do nothing and decide to just go to Wegmans and fuck around… or… well, I think you get the point. I was just so excited to graduate Lehigh/peace the fuck out and start my “professional” life that I completely dismissed the idea that I would actually miss college and all the people I spent the past four years seeing on a consistent basis.
What an oversight on my part.
So it finally hit me. And, as much as texting and stalking Facebook helps, it’s not the same. Everyone’s schedule (including mine) is busy with work or grad school. And planning stuff is nearly possible. So that’s why it was basically perfect for Lehigh to plan something on a set day so that everyone could drop what they were doing… and head to Bumblefuck, PA.
I had a great time minus a few mishaps… but I can’t wait until Lehigh/Lafayette in November when I’ll be heading back to again and will hopefully see two people that just couldn’t make it last weekend. Cough, Allison.
Editor’s Note: Also, I’m the Asian one. That’s what I look like. I don’t have Photoshop on my MacBook. Dress is by Parker. Wish I could have my tailor cut off the pirate/peasant/fairy sleeves.
